VA Non-Affiliation Notice
American Independent Disability Evaluations LLC, doing business as AIDE and AIDEvals ("AIDE," "we," "us," or "our"), is an independent, privately-owned medical evaluation service that is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or any government agency.
AIDE is NOT:
- •A VA contractor or third-party administrator
- •A Veteran Service Organization (VSO)
- •A VA-authorized representative
- •Part of any government program
What AIDE Is:
- •A private, veteran-owned medical evaluation service
- •A fee-based service that you choose to use
- •An independent provider of medical evaluations and Nexus letters
You Are Not Required to Use AIDE:
- •Veterans may access free VA compensation exams after filing a claim (for rating purposes). VA providers cannot write nexus letters due to conflict of interest policies.
- •Free claims assistance is available through accredited VSOs including DAV, VFW, American Legion, and others
- •You have the right to represent yourself or choose any representative
- •Using AIDE's services is entirely voluntary
The VA makes all final decisions regarding disability claims. AIDE provides independent medical evaluations to support your claim, but cannot influence or guarantee VA decisions.

Telehealth Informed Consent
Nature of Telehealth Services
AIDE provides live telehealth consultations with licensed medical providers for medical evaluation and diagnosis services. Live video participation is required for all medical evaluations to comply with VA standards for Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and to properly verify identity. Audio-only calls are not sufficient for comprehensive evaluations.

- • Cannot conduct physical examinations

Emergency Situations: Call 911 or go to emergency room for emergencies. AIDE is not an emergency service.

Provider Qualifications
- • Licensed medical providers including MDs, DOs, NPs, and PAs

- • Specialized training in VA disability evaluations

Independent Medical Opinions
Our evaluations provide independent medical opinions. Nexus letters support but do not guarantee claim approval. The VA makes all final disability determinations.
Terms of Service
Agreement to Terms
By using AIDE services, you agree to these terms. You must be an eligible veteran or service member, at least 18 years old, with capacity to consent to medical services.

Free Initial Screening
We offer a complimentary screening questionnaire with no payment required to start.
Refund Policy
Because our fees compensate our independent medical professionals for their time and medical expertise, all fees become non-refundable once an appointment has been scheduled, medical record review has begun, or evaluation work has been initiated. We do not offer refunds based on the VA's final claim decision. If no work has begun on your evaluation, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss your options. Refund eligibility may also be subject to applicable state consumer protection laws.
